Dear #MarkedbyOdin, I want to use this special week for all Mark of Odin crew and myself to get in touch with you again. In just this week we have enjoyed the amazing Book’s day and Sant Jordi festivity (for Catalonian readers), plus we have passed the 80,000 readers milestone from external platforms. These are the best gifts I could ask to celebrate my birthday tomorrow, a day where I’ll be older, but hopefully, wiser.
It’s been almost a month and a half since my last letter and many things have happened. We have definitively started Odinpedia’s Volume 2! It has been with the extended story ‘Daedalus Initiative Manifest’ and this week with ‘Seville: The Rising’. It has been long time waiting but finally I have been able to offer you new stories after Road to Valhalla and The Battle of Jötunheim.
I know that many of you would love to get more things and quicker, but apart of not being able to handle all myself, for many of the new stories I’m stuck due to the illustration works that will support them. It’s important to wait as this is not only about reading new point of views of the plot, but being able to see them literally.
What I can tell you right now is that there are four more extended stories ready, that have already been reviewed and edited, waiting for their illustrations. Here is the list:
- Brunilda: The Weight of Command
- Marta: The inner balance
- Alexandra’s Records: Hekkar Alpha
- Kira Takeda: Facing the Past
Nowadays, my main objective is to focus my attention in the final version of the second bonus chapter, The Edge of the Katana. If all goes well I hope that can reach the review-edit stage sometime in May, so I could share with all of you before June ends. Moreover, I hope that in May I could be able to share some of the mentioned extended stories as well. With that said, who knows if inspiration hits me and I surprise you with a new content meanwhile, who knows…
The past weeks I had to focus almost all of my time in marketing and sells, to secure a good campaign for the Book’s day in Spain. Today I can tell you that it has been the most successful one since we started back in 2012. During almost two days we offered 10% discount in our shop and were able to reach many new readers that decided to join the #MarkedbyOdin purchasing our Collector’s editions.
A part of this, we have finally released the Spanish third edition of Mark of Odin: The Awakening in digital. That edition fixes many issues from the first edition and introduces features lead to improve the ratio of free readers that decide to pass to join the complete experience. Now all readers will see in a more clear way the options to continue with our saga and to join our community. Paperback version is ready too, just waiting to order a new batch of books for our store. On the other side, I keep working in the Spanish second edition of Mark of Odin: Road to Valhalla, that hopefully will be ready sometime in May, at least in digital.
As you can see I have been facing many battles at same time so I had to slow my efforts in other fields, as the international one, so I can’t bring you news for now. No worries, things keep moving and I keep having conversations and working to get fruits from what started in my past trip to USA. Hopefully we will bring you news in the coming months!
